Having good information about older people’s lives, the contexts in which they live, the challenges they face and the contributions they make are essential parts of effective development policies and programmes. Better data disaggregated by age is integral to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the ‘Leave No One Behind’ pledge.
