Age International has teams working in the areas of; influencing & policy; communications; programme funding; and humanitarian & accountability. The senior management team is listed below.

Chris Roles

Chris is responsible for the leadership of Age International.

Before joining as Director in July 2012, Chris held senior positions at ActionAid, Christian Aid, YMCA England and Y Care International.

Chris is a member of the Investment Committee of Venturesome, the Charity Aid Foundation’s social investment arm, and is also a member of the BBC’s Appeals Advisory Committee.

Ken Bluestone

Ken leads Age International’s policy and influencing work in the UK and internationally on issues affecting older people in low and middle-income countries. Ken's team also focuses on parliamentary work and research. 

Ken has worked in policy and influencing over the past 20 years. He is currently Chair of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People.

Lucy Billings

Lucy manages Age International’s response and accountability during emergency appeals, acting as the Central Contact Person (CCP) for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

She is responsible for information management, accountability and budget management in relation to all emergency programmes. Lucy has worked in international development for nearly 10 years, with periods of work at The Foyer Federation and Médecins Sans Frontières.

Tony Hopkins

Tony leads Age International’s Programme Development and Funding team. He oversees Age International’s project contracts and institutional donor relationships, and planning and coordination with country and regional offices across HelpAge International.

Tony has worked in the development sector for over 15 years. Previously, Tony worked for a range of NGOs, including HelpAge International, VSO, Save the Children and Minority Rights Group International.

Vishnee Sauntoo

Vishnee leads on brand and communications for Age International. She is responsible for communications across our channels and with her team, gathers content from our programmes and humanitarian responses around the world.

She has worked in marketing and communications for the third sector for the past 18 years and has previously worked for Save the Children, the Humanitarian Leadership Academy and the British Heart Foundation as well as other organisations across the charity sector.
